all these years, you can't split these Atoms
This page has two primary purposes.
First, it celebrates the team that still, almost 25 years
after it folded, means "soccer" in Philadelphia.
It is here that you will be able to read about the club
that gave the struggling professional soccer scene a shot
in the arm, and gave the City of Philadelphia folk heroes
still remembered fondly today: Bob Rigby, Andy Provan, Jim
Fryatt, George O'Neill, the late Derek Trevis, and a host
of others.
More importantly, this page is committed
to returning professional soccer to Philadelphia. At this
juncture, with Major League Soccer uncertain of its expansion
plans, it is not clear whether the next professional team
in Philly will be in MLS or the A-League. But this much
is certain: the team must be called Atoms.
It's time to bring the Atoms back!
Any Philadelphia soccer team must
avail itself of the Atoms "brand name" recognition.
The Atoms history must be continued. Let people know you
